Method 1: Verify Internet Settings

  • First of all, terminate the QuickBooks desktop and open Internet Explorer. Thereafter, select the Tools and then proceed to Internet Option
  • After that, select Security Settings and make sure that the security settings should be set to medium-high.
  • Next, hit the globe icon and then select the Content option and make sure that the Content Advisor button should be activated.
  • After completing the above steps, hit click on the Connection tab and follow the given below steps:-
  • Select the Never a Dial Connection tab and also make sure that you choose the right ISP and then hit OK.
  • Now, select the LAN settings option and the Automatically Detect Settings option must be activated.
  • Check if the Use a Proxy Server is disabled.
  • If you see port 80, you are required to uncheck the box and then hit the OK tab.
  • Now, head to the Advanced tab

Method 4: Add QuickBooks to the Windows Firewall Exception

  • First of all, hit the Start button and then type windows firewall in the search field.
  • After that, click on the Window Firewall and then move to Advanced Settings from the left panel.
  • Next, right-click the Inbound Rules option.
  • Now, you have to select the New Rules option and then choose the correct Port.
  • The port number for QuickBooks 2019 is 8019, for QuickBooks 2018 it is 56728, 55378-55382 and for QuickBooks 2017 it is 56276, 55368-55372.
  • Now, you have to select the Allow Connection option and then hit the Next tab.
  • Make sure that all the profiles that appeared in the pop-up should be enabled.
  • Now, click on the Next tab and then enter a name for this new rule.
  • And finally hit the Finish tab and then implement the same steps to set up the Outbound Rules.
